I love to cook. I love copper cookware. I have friends who know this. From time to time, a new and very different piece of copper makes it’s way into my collection from those friends who bring me something they know I don’t have. They usually don’t come with instructions. The assumption is that I will be able to figure it out. Such faith! I can only admire it.
This is a hinged steamer that I finally found useful for small batches of mussels steamed in white wine with a little butter. Open it up, treat the steam burn, throw in a little crumbled blue cheese and feast – a baguette and a nice wine on the side. Not appropriate for breakfast maybe, but it’s sounding pretty good….
