The beech tree continues to provide guitars, as promised. Leaves are falling at a fairly rapid pace now, so they are an obvious answer in my endless search for materials. So this morning I think I should go out and clear some of them – not get too carried away, after all, they are not finished falling…not by a long shot. So I want to move into this project deliberately, slowly, and with purpose. I fetch up the rakes. The rakes are an under appreciated part of the whole operation, more recently nearly, if not completely replaced by blowers. Still, there is a certain satisfaction to be gained from raking leaves into a heap…later, maybe.
