Centerpieces Made To Go

Day 51

Over the weekend I attended a very posh party – an actual gala fundraiser for not only the Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival, but the program they fund called First Strings which is a music program for grade school kids where third graders get a chance to learn to play violin.   Yes, violin, not guitar.  Strings under fingers.  I’m good with that.   Great program, great party.  I’m not a party planner, so I’m not really sure how the centerpieces matched the “Music of the Night” theme of the party, but they were quite colorful – vials of shiny candies topped with pompoms exploding with color.  The room was very pretty with these things, and they were designed to be carried away – so I gathered up enough to create this frivolous guitar…just for fun.  If you have any intention of being on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in June – check it out:  www.chesapeakechambermusic.org  51_365 Guitars
